Aspen Rock Climbing

  • We offer privately guided short day (4hrs) and full day (6-8hrs) rock climbing daily, on scenic Independence Pass and surrounding areas. There is no need to have any prior experience!

Learn the basics of outdoor rock climbing, including movement on the rock, belaying, rappelling and more. Whether you have some previous experience or none at all; challenging routes or top-rope climbing fun with the family; our AMGA trained/certified rock guides will customize the day to suit your needs.

All necessary climbing gear is included (ropes, rock shoes, harness, helmet, pack). We can meet you at our shop at the Aspen Highlands Base Village or pick you up at your residence. The climbing areas are only around 15-25 minutes from downtown Aspen, offering ideal beginner to expert climbing with amazing views of the surrounding peaks and the Roaring Fork River.

Short Days are perfect for families with children ages 4 and up and those with limited time. Full days are a preferred way to experience different climbing venues and for in-depth instruction beyond a simple introduction.
