Autumn in Aspen

October 05, 2015

It's truly autumn here today as a light rain falls in the valley and the higher elevations experience their first dusting of snow. The forecast is unsettled for the next few days, yet the latter part of the week looks to be sunny.

There are still ample opportunities for mountain hikes among the changing Aspen leaves, or a rock climb up on Gold Butte or Independence Pass. Some of our awesome staff of guides are still hanging around the valley and would love to take you on an autumn scramble.

During this quiet season we are preparing for winter fun!  Soon new alpine touring gear and outdoor apparel will arrive. And shortly after that the snow!

Now is a good time to prepare for winter, just like the bears are doing. Except we can dream, plan and realize winter ski adventures from hut trips to day ski/ride backcountry tours.  And we can educate ourselves with avalanche education courses, avalanche refresher tours, backcountry ski camps and more. We can also get ready for week long ski adventures around Aspen, in Canada, Japan or Europe.

You know you can reach out to us anytime, anyway and always to get you an awesome outdoor experience day or tour.
